Puya Venusta , locally called Chagualillos , Chagoal Chico or Chagoal , is a kind of family plants Broméliaceae .

It reaches a height of 1.5 m including the floral rod. The leaves are distributed in rosette shape and are linear, with thorny, silver color. The flowers are densely distributed in terminal compounds. Flowers have six blue tepals. This is a rare plant found in certain regions of Chile , notably Zapallar, Los Molles, Los Vilos.
It is an endemic species of Chile which is distributed along the coast of REGION IV ( Province of Coquimbo ) at Region V ( Province of Valparaíso ), from sea level to 100 meters . It generally grows on rocky coastal areas forming pure stands. It never enters more than 1 km inside the land. In certain localities, it can be the dominant species.
