30 Seeds

It is a plant in tuft, with angular stems high from 20 to 80 CM, with alternate leaves, pennies, with blue or white flowers in terminal clusters.

The plant generally reaches 45–60 cm (18–24 in) high and wide, but some sometimes grow higher than 90 cm (35 in). He can push in the North American rusticity area .

The plant normally prefers a soil rich in humidity and lime with partial shadow. Normally rustic, some Cultivars (for example 'Blue Pearl') behave like Biennials tender, which means that they are actually annuals in fresher climates (below the rusticity area 6).

The plant is known to have some landscape uses, such as attracting beneficial insects. The plant itself is practical for container planting due to the shape of its growth. The flower can be presented in cut flower or foliage and can be added to bouquets for its pleasant odor. It can be cultivated on the edge of perennials or in rockery.  [4]

Cultivars include :

  • 'Album' (white flower)
  • "Blue pearl"
  • 'Anjou breeze'
  • 'White Pearl' (White Flower)
  • 'Snow and sapphires' (variegated foliage)

The plant has no serious problems of insects or diseases. The foliar stain and Oïdium can be problems, especially in wet climates. The foliage can burn if the plant receives too much sun. Points of leaflets will brown if the floors are allowed to dry out. The foliage will generally decline and become less attractive as summer advances. It is important to keep an eye on the slugs.
