The Round leaves (Bupleurum Rotundifolium) is a herbaceous plant Annual family of the Apiaceae.

It measures 20 to 60 CM, it is gloomy or grayish green.

The leaves are undivided and entirely on board, of oval-suborbicular shape :

- the superior to radial nerve, are perfoliated1 ;

- the inferior are embraced.

Its small umbelles from 5 to 8 rays without involucre, are characterized by green-yellow bracts becoming whitish with fruiting which exceeds umbellules of yellow flowers.

The protruding ribs measure from 3 to 4 MM.

It is an adventitious plant of cultivated land and wasteland.

The species is not yet evaluated on a global and European scale byIUCN. In France it is classified as almost threatened (NT), close to the threshold of endangered species or which could be if specific conservation measures were not taken3.

It is considered to be disappeared in Nord-Pas-de-Calais, Picardie, Île de France, Franche-Comté, Haute-Normandie ; In Danger-criticism (CR) in Center regions, Champagne-Ardennes, Aquitaine, Poitou-Charentes, Lorraine, Limousin, Pays de la Loire and Alsace ; In Danger (in) in Burgundy, Rhône-Alpes and Auvergne ; as vulnerable (seen) in alsace ; Almost threatened in Midi-Pyrénées.
