Originally from Eastern Europe and Southwest Asia, the expansion of the species has accelerated in France at the end of XXe century, with Repercussions on local fauna and flora which justify uprooting and mowing campaigns to limit its propagation1.
It is considered that this plant is part of the Obsidional Flore of France2,1, La Roquette d'Orient having benefited from the import of Fourrage, intended for horses of Cossacks of the Russian army pursuing the Napoleonic troops in 18142.
In central Europe, it is among the invasive species.
