Frequently planted in the gardens, the Véronique with long leaves (Veronica Longifolia L.) is a plant loving humid places, spectacular by its long blue or mauve ears. Formerly classified in the family of SCROPHULARIACEAE, Véroniques (genre Veronica) now belong to that of Plantaginaceae.

Perennial plant enjoying the humid places, especially the edges of watercourses, in the plain or in the middle mountain (up to 1250 meters). It is found in temperate Europe, but it is rare in Great Britain, stops north in Scandinavia and seems almost unknown in the Mediterranean regions. Flowering in June-July.
